Travel Theme : Fixed Budget Trips

If you are a hobo, if you are a nomad, if you have an itchy feet, If you don’t have a lot of money to spend on travels, read on.

I consider myself as many of the terms mentioned above. 😉  So my travel adventures mainly revolves around on a shoe string! I mean on a shoe string budget. In the previous post I was taking an imaginary journey, (which couldn’t take off from the planning phase) through India and the total cost of 2840km, 7 day journey was only around ₹ 2000

So here is a travel theme for you, if are confused about planning a trip, worry about the budget of your trip or just looking for a different travel experience.

Travel to some place on a fixed budget!

  • Just don’t fix any destination
  •  Pick a direction
  • Fix the budget for one way travel ( Half of your total budget)
  • Enjoy the travel in your chosen direction till your one way budget runs out
  • And then travel back home or where ever you want to come back.

In this way you have complete control of the money spend on your travel and have the  fun of a spontaneous, unplanned trip. Also you can call anyplace you reach as your destination! A totally no strings attached travel on a shoe string budget!

What do you think about this travel theme? Are you going to plan a weekend trip on a fixed budget? Share your views . Thank you 🙂

  1. What cool advice and I would love to travel more! My family does day trips with our girls when we can, but it would be nice to see some other countries as well. I’ve only been to a few myself.

  2. Reblogged this on Estelea's Blog and commented:
Did it a few of times BC (before kids). Pick up a promo, or book a train so early that the trip would cost me 70% of the price. Et hop! It s not really about the destination, it s more the excitement of the trip and about the people I d meet along the way. Just made sure I had enough for the nights and basic food. Nowadays you can even coach share, I really believe in traveling on a budget! My best memories of travels when where I was counting my last coins to pay for the departure fees. Very small
Pay check but big memories 🙂

    1. Thank you Estelea for reblogging 🙂 Yes I do totally agree with you. Its all about the experience and excitement, destination comes next. Its great to meet like minded travellers 🙂
