Towards Hope

Towards Hope

There she was.

Running on the beach,

not to burn the  calories,

not to get the size zero,

as getting a belly fat is out of her question,

coz she lives for that day’s food

stays at the beach side inside a tarpaulin

beach side homes can be fancy

but not for her

coz home itself is fancy to her!

there she runs towards hope.

Perfect picture, beautiful words. It reminds me of something I once read (can’t remember where..), where the writer stated along the lines of “while most of us run to burn the food we eat, there are some who must run to get food.” If only we were all a little more generous..

Les Petits Pas de Juls

this is such a gorgeous shot and full of hope, rightly titled.

Beautiful picture, and sentiments. Running toward hope. We run toward warmth, safety, love, nourishment … whether we are hungry or not. This is what makes us human and ties us all together irregardless of the economic/social slots in which we find ourselves.

I like that photo a lot. I imagine her running toward a food drop, or a water aid delivery, or simply to greet a tired father coming home from some grinding job
