Mundane Monday Challenge or what people call in short term as MMC, started as a result of Blogging 101, an event run by Blogging University of WordPress! One of the tasks encourages to participate in some popular challenges or even to start and run one's own challenges!
Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge was one of the challenges I was actively participating that time.
One day I too wanted to host a challenge! And that is how MMC was born. 6th April 2015 was the first MMC post.
Started the challenge with very few people, some of them like Dr. H. Bhatnagar is still participating right from the beginning. Some of them joined on the way, some of them dropped out on the way.
But whoever ever participated have been quite very encouraging. I never thought that I would go this far! 100 weeks! Probably it will be the first time I am doing something regularly with some discipline for a long time! It is only because of the encouragement (and external pressure 😉 ) from you all. Ask Parul how many times she reminded me to post it when I had missed to post it ON Monday! And people like Dr Katherine aka Dr.KO. who have volunteered to continue MMC when I wanted to stop it, , are my reasons. There are many more names to mention here. But you might have noticed that I have gone a bit more lazy these days. Well, that is my excuse!
Without much further introduction, let me begin the 100th edition of the challenge.
Mundane Monday Challenge encourages you to take more pictures. The philosophy of MMC is simple. You can create a beautiful picture even by focusing on a very common looking, dull or so called Mundane subject! All you have to do is look around, find a mundane subject, appreciate it and use your creativity to frame it in such a way to create a beautiful frame.
There is one more angle to this challenge. One looks around to find beauty. That is a great way to look at mundane things and be grateful for them. It can help one to change their perspective and helps one to understand that nothing is Ordinary.
In order to create beautiful frames all you have to do is to pay more attention to your surrounding. Try to include a mundane object in your frame. And by following or un-following the composition guidelines, make them look great. You can find a few guidelines in the link below which can help you to get started.
I want you to focus on making interesting frames and photographs. Focus more on photography.
Now I want you to make beautiful compositions out of those seemingly mundane objects. So join Mundane Monday Challenge : Learn Photography
