Heart shaped shadow

Today we are travelling through this road with  heart-shaped shadow. A few meters further we are at the entrance to the cave.

The place is very much motivating. If Anthony Robbins was there, probably he would have given a motivating speech on ‘Nothing is Impossible’. See this and believe

Nature says Nothing is Impossible

A huge tree has grown on a huge rock!! I know there are plenty of other natural wonders all around us and this is just one among them.

Before we could go inside the cave, we need to get the tickets.

Tickets tickets

You also need to pay 20 rupees per plastic water bottles if you want to take them inside the cave, but the money is refundable.

The staffs over here are maintaining the place very well.  And inside the cave, they explains about the history of the cave and other things.

After this point, stepping stone to success welcomed us.

Steps and steps

It was just the beginning. Till the entrance of the cave, they have made steps which makes it easy to go up even for kids and family.

Lets hike up further and farther.

Almost there

Yes, now we are almost there. A few more steps. If you are exhausted, just in case of lack of physical activity for ages, there is something to motivate you, like what we have seen at the entrance.

Welcome to EDAKKAL caves

Welcome to EDAKKAL caves of Wayanda, Kerala.

The name Edakkal came from a Malayalam word that means ‘stone in between’. There is a huge stone, that rest between two other rocks on top, making it a cave.

Edakkal : The stone in between

This stone is right on top of your head, just saying if the picture doesn’t give the correct  three-dimensional feeling.

Closer look into the carvings

They have carved their king on to this rock. There is the front view and back view.

These pictorial writings believed to date to at least 6,000 BC done by Neolithic men. If you want to read more about it, find it on WIKI.

Lets go and see some more views of the cave.

Gap between two rocks

A narrow gap is formed by two huge rocks. Cool breeze passes through this gap. A gate is provided to keep people safe from any danger.

So its time to go out and enjoy the beauty of the valley from 1200m above sea level.

How is the view up above the sea level?

What if we could stay in some place surrounded by so much of greenery?

Living into the Wild

It’s always hard to say be to a place and return, especially from such a beautiful view. But miles to go before the night!
