Weekly Photochallenge : Endurance of craftmanship

I looked up the dictionary.
Endurance [ ɪnˈdjʊər(ə)ns,ɛn-,-ˈdʒ-,-ɔː/ ] (noun)
1. the ability to endure an unpleasant or difficult process or situation without giving way.
The endurance of these artists who carved poems out of  the rock is amazingly amazing.

Poetry on the Rock

I would love to call it as a poetry on the rock. Taking about endurance, how hard is to break a rock, let alone carving and making a piece of art out of rock! Craftsmanship along with dedication, determination and endurance made it possible.

2. the capacity of something to last or to withstand wear and tear.
Adalaj stepwell was built in 1499 and still it stands as a proof of olden day architecture’s endurance.

  1. Hmm.. Endurance.. Doesn’t sound like an apt word.. How could someone carve out so precisely, so many times, unless they love their work..

A poetry forced out from endurance can’t endure time.. 😉

If it’s still a work of endurance, I’m beyond words for, what they might have created with love and passion..

Indeed your canon did justice to that brilliant piece of art.. 🙂

    1. No. I was saying that those rocks endured the weather and other things and still singing the songs created by the artists who worked on it. Does it make sense ?

    1. Serendipity : I love that word! I am glad that it happened 🙂
In fact I was thinking of doing a full post on this rock architecture as you can see some people like to see more of it. Should I do it before you go, or.. ?? 😉
Btw you have got super awesome pictures in your blog. I am gonna check out them all soon. 🙂
