Mundane Monday Challenge #99 : Learn Photography

Over a cup of tea

Finally someone agreed to do the challenge for me when I am away or busy. So the challenge is still on after 100th week too!

Welcome to Mundane Monday Challenge v 2.0

There are two ways to look at this challenge. One is to look around and find beauty. That is a great way to look at mundane things and be grateful for them. It can help one to change their perspective and helps one to understand that nothing is Ordinary.

The second way to approach this challenge is to look around and find beautiful frames. Try to include a mundane object in such frame. And by following or un-following the composition guidelines, make them look great. This not only helps you to with changing the perspective, but also with improving your photography skills.

I want you to focus on making interesting frames and photographs. So the focus is more on photography. Now I want you to make beautiful compositions of those seemingly mundane objects.

I have already written a few guidance on how to try and make a mundane setting into a beautiful frame. Below you can find the link

To get the most out from this challenge here are some: Guidelines

The new challenge, from here onwards will be called

Mundane Monday Challenge : Learn Photography

This is a challenge created to find beauty in almost everything. The challenge is simple : find beauty in everyday mundane things and frame it beautifully and upload the photographs. And give me a pingback by including the url of this post in your challenge post. [ Please DO Leave the link in the Comments. Lately some of the pingbacks are not working. ]

If you think this challenge helps you to see ordinary things in a more beautiful way and to improve your photography, do help a friend to improve their skills .too. You are free to Tag/Challenge a friend to join MMC, so that world around us look more beautiful to more people around us.

Here goes my entry for this week’s MMC.

    1. Maybe it would have been better. But I took it when I wanted something to post for the week. So I just clicked and posted it at that moment with the available light!

  1. Hey Jithin,

Hoping all is well? Thank you for the email address. I shall drop you a line shortly.

Thank you also for the image posted. I am intrigued by the colouring of the teaspoon. The light seems cast downwards but the spoon retains something of a dark colour, maybe purple? I don’t understand how that might be unless the teaspoon was already a dark shade to begin with? Was it? Or is this a trick of the light? Also the spoon’s handle appears to float above the rim of the plate: a clever optical illusion.

Great photo Jithin, and another challenging challenge to challenge.

    Take care my friend.

    Namaste 🙂

    1. Regarding the color of the spoon, I think it was probably because of the trick of the light. It is a steel spoon with the color of steel. No dark colors involved.

I am looking forward to your mail. Thank you for dropping by. Your comments are always a pleasure to read!

      1. Hey Jithin,

Ah, thank you! Mystery solved, issue resolved. But I still like it as a trick of the light. Purple is a powerful and majestic colour…better still when set down upon gold 🙂

Thanks Jithin. I shall indeed email shortly. Sorry for any delay, busy week. I hope busy for both thee and I. Thank you for your reply.

Always in all ways take care my friend.

        Namaste 🙂

        DN
